When I established the Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA) in 2007, my ambition was to change the society's perspective of the quality of education, as I felt sorry when I heard callings for "education for all" - which education??? - as we do not give quality and fair education.Education must have its focus on quality rather than quantity, otherwise we will be wasting our time and the time of the learners. I therefore was keen on moving towards the slogan of “quality education for all”, meaning that the quality of education is the goal, and not just traditional education.
It pains me when I find educational institutions that provide their educational activities and services without paying attention to quality control and not clearly defining goals or their commitment to quality, which leads to the provision of random education.
I am pleased to say that AROQA is proud of its achievements, as it came to spread the culture of quality in educational communities and to provide a clear framework for achieving quality by granting accreditation in accordance with national and international quality standards.
Here is my message: "We are looking to transfer from teaching to learning for the purpose of innovation."
