AMMAN – The ruling issued by the Amman Criminal
Court in the criminal case known as the “Safe Theft” reflects the approach of the
Jordanian state in consolidating the rule of law, as one of the fundamental pillars
that His Majesty King Abdullah II has always emphasized in the process of
modernizing the country and strengthening its institutions.
The ruling, that convicted all the defendants
and imposed statutory penalties and ordered them to pay civil
compensation, fees, expenses and legal interest, indicates the practical
application of the principle of equality before the law. It also reinforces the
independence of the judiciary as the guardian of rights and the protector of justice.
On this occasion, Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global
Digital (TAG.GD) affirmed that this ruling represents a clear model of the
efficiency of the Jordanian judicial system in enforcing the law and achieving
justice, in a manner that enhances trust in national institutions committed to applying
the law equally and without exception.
For his part, HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, TAG.GD
founder and chairman, stated that His Majesty the King has always emphasized on
various occasions that the rule of law is the cornerstone upon which the
country is founded and the true guarantee to protect rights and freedoms of all
citizens, in addition to enhancing independence and trust in the country’s
institutions.
He concluded
that this ruling stands as a manifestation of this Royal vision, confirming
that the independent, free, and impartial Jordanian judiciary continues to
carry out its duty to uphold the truth, enforce the law equally and
transparently, in a manner that strengthens legal security and protects the
rights of individuals and institutions.
