IRBID, Jordan - Irbid Model School signed an accreditation agreement with the Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA) as part of its endeavor to meet the Organization’s education quality assurance requirements.

HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, AROQA chairman, pointed out that AROQA strives to develop and improve the educational level in the Arab world as well as to keep abreast of professional and technological advancement in accordance with the highest standards and in line with the development in the knowledge era which is strongly embracing digital learning.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Yaser Al Nadi, AROQA Executive Director, and Mr. Mudar Abdul Hadi, representative of the Director General of Irbid Model School.

During the signing ceremony, Mr. Abdul Hadi expressed his pride in cooperating with AROQA. He expressed particular gratitude to Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh, pointing out that the School seeks, through the accreditation agreement, to achieve exceptional results and outcomes by applying education quality and capacity-building systems.  

For his part, Al Nadi stated that AROQA offers quality, accreditation and consulting services as well as capacity building services in education, with the aim of promoting the culture of education quality accreditation in light of the technological revolution, information and communications technology.

Towards this goal, AROQA held a capacity-building workshop for the School staff on standards and indicators of the School Accreditation Program relating to various areas of education, learning, students, institutional efficiency, resources, communication, creativity and excellence in addition to training the School teams.

During the workshop, the School was introduced to more than 100 indicators of the accreditation program, most notably the curriculum’s ability to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills, the utilization of a comprehensive evaluation system, the documentation of results and outputs that measure improvement in addition to the availability of the necessary technical materials and resources that support the educational process as well as the commitment to the continuous development process for quality assurance.

Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA) is an international non-for-profit independent association established in Belgium in 2007 with the fundamental objective of raising the quality of higher education in general with a special focus on the Arab world.

Irbid Model School, among the largest schools in the north of the Kingdom, was established in 1970 and was awarded the quality management accreditation. It aims at providing quality education that ensures excellence and creativity.
