AMMAN - HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of the Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA), has awarded Irbid Model Schools (IMS) in Jordan with the Organization’s School Accreditation certificate, on the basis of the evaluation report presented by a specialized team headed by Mr. Yaser Al Nadi, AROQA executive director.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh commended the level of the Schools, as well as their culture of quality keenness, expressing his hope that the schools would continue their efforts to achieve distinctive learning outcomes.

He further emphasized AROQA's relentless efforts to provide the best services to educational institutions especially in light of the current challenges the educational institutions are experiencing by keeping pace with the latest advancements in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) field, through the updated version of school and university accreditation standards that will be launched soon at its 12th Annual Conference in 2022.

Moreover, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stated that the indicators would include learning for the purpose of innovation, developing students' skills and building their capacities, in addition to encouraging them to entrepreneurship and invention while preserving the identity of the Arabic language. He also called on the educational institutions to keep a close look at the global developments in the education sector. 

For his part, Mr. Maen Waheed Abdel Hadi, Programs Development and Accreditation Manager of the Schools, extended his gratitude to Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh for his constant support for the educational sector through the programs and services offered by AROQA such as accreditation and quality services, capacity building, educational consulting services and others.

Abdel Hadi said that the Irbid Model Schools exerted a great effort to receive such a distinctive accreditation that will definitely enhance the quality of education. He praised the cooperation between AROQA and the Schools for achieving excellence in sharpening students’ skills at the practical, scientific and creative levels.

The Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA) is an international non-profit independent association founded in Belgium in 2007. Its main objective is to promote the quality of higher education with a particular focus on the Arab world under the honorary presidency of the Secretary-General of the League of the Arab States, and the chairmanship of HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh.

Irbid Model Schools (IMS) is one of the largest schools in the North of Jordan, founded in 1970 by the late Mr. Wahid Suleiman Abdel Hadi.
