AMMAN – Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University College for Innovation (TAGUCI), a member of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), has participated in the Erasmus+ Exhibition, organized by the National Erasmus+ Office in Jordan at the University of Jordan.

The Exhibition was organized to highlight the impact of the Erasmus+ program on Jordanian institutions and universities, as well as to strengthen academic cooperation and professional development between the relevant institutions and academic mobility among universities and educational institutions in European countries and their partners. It was held with the participation of representatives from higher education institutions, civil society institutions, ministries, and other concerned entities.

Commenting on the event, TAGUCI Dean, Dr. Naser Al-Nsor, said: “We, at TAGUCI, are proud to take part in the Erasmus+ Exhibition and experience the positive outcomes the Erasmus+ program created.” He highlighted the opportunities the Program offered to faculty members and students, such as teaching and learning in prestigious universities in Europe, cultural and academic exchange, and the expansion of scientific and professional networks. That is in addition to the positive impact of the Program on the development of high-quality educational programs in the region.

Dr. Al-Nsor added that the Erasmus+ Program has a great impact on the development of Jordanian institutions and it enhances the higher education level in the region, through academic cooperation and international mobility, which contributed to improving the quality of education and the development of academic skills of faculty members and students.

For his part, Prof. Ahmad Abu-El-Haija, director of the Jordan National Erasmus+ Office, stated that Jordan has been among the most engaged countries participating in the Program. He mentioned that 55 projects were supported by the Program to build the capacity of university staff, while over 6500 students, professors, lecturers, and employees were granted opportunities for academic mobility with European universities.

Dr. Abu-El-Haija noted that support was given for 20 projects aimed at sharpening the skills of young individuals and 7 projects focused on building the capacity of workers in the vocational education and training sector. He pointed out that this is an important achievement for Jordan and a clear indication of the Jordanian institutions’ interest and ability to manage such projects.

It is worth mentioning that the Erasmus+ program is a European collaborative program that strives to encourage academic and cultural exchange among universities and educational institutions in European countries and partner countries. Its objective is to enhance the quality of higher education and promote innovation and sustainable development in societies.
