‘Abu-Ghazaleh for Quality Assurance’ Graduates First Batch  of “Fundamentals of Quality and Accreditation in Higher Education Institutions” Diploma 

AMMAN – The first batch of the Diploma “Fundamentals of Quality and Accreditation in Higher Education Institutions”, organized by Talal Abu-Ghazaleh for Quality Assurance in Education (TAG-EDUQA), a member of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital (TAG.GD), in cooperation with the Genova Institute for Training, and accredited by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority – Government of Dubai, has successfully concluded after completing 30 specialized training hours combining theoretical knowledge with practical application.
The Diploma covered a comprehensive set of topics beginning with an introduction to the concepts of quality and accreditation in higher education, including the distinction between internal and external quality assurance and the different types of institutional and program accreditation. It also addressed international frameworks and standards such as ABET, AACSB, EFQM, and ESG, and their relationship to global university rankings.
The program further discussed other topics including institutional governance and management, the role of leadership and strategic planning in supporting quality, as well as quality in teaching and learning, standards for academic programs, learning outcomes, the development of faculty competencies, and assessment methodologies. In addition, it addressed research quality, community engagement, performance measurement tools, risk management, and the promotion of a culture of continuous improvement.
The program also included intensive practical training on preparing self-evaluation reports based on an evidence-based methodology, conducting gap analysis, developing improvement matrices and action plans, and drafting a comprehensive evaluation report for an academic program or educational institution.
Participants emphasized the importance of this program in light of the challenges facing higher education institutions, praising the depth of its content and its direct relevance to academic practice. They also highlighted the strong practical component that enhances their ability to transfer knowledge effectively to their institutions.
The dynamic engagement during discussion sessions and workshops reflected a growing awareness of the importance of embedding a culture of quality and continuous improvement as a fundamental pillar for enhancing institutional performance and strengthening the competitiveness of universities regionally and internationally.
